Some of the most exiting discoveries of 2017 (in my opinion!)
Sometimes we have to temporarily do things we don´t want to in order to deserve the chance to do everything we love doing in the long term.
I got really interested in science communication about three years ago. The most obvious outcome of this interest is the fact that you are reading these lines now. Since then, I’ve done some pretty awesome stuff like co-host and be a guest on some science podcasts, did science stand up…
Has academia overcome the Sagan effect? Is it trying to? Does the public care and are all celebrities the same?
If you think there are more important things that #scientific #literacy, you are may be right, but I'd suggest to think again!
Dolly was the first mammal to be cloned using the nucleus from a somatic cell of one animal and an egg from another individual of the same species. Her birth proved that we can restart the cellular development of a somatic cell from a higher animal in a way that would allow it to recreate any other cell needed to for a whole new individual.
Science is gender-neutral and one day this phenomenon will stand as a pillar of our progress.
To every scientist - I have faith that we can do this and much more!
