Hi, my name is Eva!
I’ve decided to start a creativity booster exercise which will not necessarily have something to do with science per se.
I’ve selected a list of some 300 items to photograph (a photographer’s bucket list if you will). And I’ve created this category to share (very) short story with each picture from the list and obviously the picture itself. It might be a story about me/a memory, that the picture triggered, or a science fact if something super interesting is related to the item(s) on the pic.
Mind you – I’ve never had any true interest in being a photographer, snapping images – yes. So this is not going to be an exercise to make me a (better) photographer, it will be means to an end to make we search for things around me that normally I wouldn’t notice passing through life. A moment to stop for an instant and take in my surroundings consciously and with the wonder I used to do before.
Don’t feel compelled to follow this category if you are here only for the science! You don’t have to! But if you do and find something interesting – a story that you can connect to perhaps – please do not be shy to leave a comment and start a conversation.
Lastly, obviously, my name is NOT Eva, but I use this name when I go to a coffee-shop where they are bound to get your name on the coffee-cup wrong. And I ended up using Eva there. I got to this shop when I travel exclusively, and somehow I ended up liking this alter ego of mine. I also feel like it’s part of me because all the letters exist in my real name – Nevena – so it’s all going to be a part of me – just a different one!
I hope you enjoy it! I hope even more than I enjoy it! It’s a whole new journey even if I’m staying put for it. So enough of words – it’s time for images and also:
